The Bernhardt Watch Company
Is owned and operated by a watch guy, you know one of us, Fred Amos. Fred spent fifteen (15) years buying and selling Rolex's and got really good at it he became a watch expert, you know the guys on all the watch forums that the newbie's look up to and ask questions of. One day his wife said why don't you just make watches Fred?
Hmmmm interesting Idea thought Fred and he set out to do that. The earlier versions were produced under the name Bernhardt Instruments through a partnership, and then Fred ventured off on his own incorporating Bernhardt Watch Company. When I say Fred is one of us, he is one of us he is truly a watch guy he knows his stuff he knows that the right case and bracelet needs a certain feel to it before the movement is even set in place, he has been where we all have been shopping the Auctions and looking for a deal and wondering why watches cost so much when he knew the cost of a movement and a case and bracelet. Fred deduced it was all about markup and greed.
I am as serious in this next statement as I have ever been about my favorite Russian watches, every watch loving WIS should own one of these in their collection take your pick of the model and color but My Bernhardt Corsair is not coming off my wrist any time soon. I ask all of you that read this, where will you find a watch with a Swiss auto movement (or even a Miyota for that matter) in a 316L Stainless case with a Sapphire Crystal with a solid link Bracelet with screwed in links for sizing instead of Cheap pins for Under $600-800 bucks? I Turn away several watch companies a year that want me to carry their watches usually because I am committed to value priced watches like the Boctok Amphibia built like a tank at an affordable price, but let's take that a step further if you buy a Boctok as you all know I have a bunch what do you do first? Well first you buy a decent bracelet that is more solid should I say, then maybe you send it off to one of several of the well known custom shops, I always choose Kent Parks at Everest Watchworks www.everestwatchworks.com and I spend maybe $100-$150 on a dial upgrade or a total relume, and by the time I am done I have a heck of a watch for $250-$300 Take a look at the Bernhardt Seashark, $299.00 has it all, corsair $395.00 got it all and all Bernhardt Watch Co watches come with a two year warranty you don't get that with the Boctok you just spent 300 Acquiring and Customizing. Fred is truly one of the nicest guys in the watch Business I have ever dealt with he gets the customer comes first, these watches are a culmination of his 20 years watch industry experience resulting in a reasonably priced incredible line of watches. I couldn't make it any clearer than that, these watches have all of the quality and performance of watches costing double or triple where they are priced and you owe it to yourself to own one. They are limited numbered productions my Corsair is number 185/1000 and they go fast feel free as always to email me with questions, but for goodness sakes buy one of these you owe it to yourself.
